Polesden Lacey

Has anyone been to Polesden Lacey around Christmas time. I’ve read that they have horse and cart rides for only £3 per adult. Is it any good?

It's quite nice but not amazingly Christmas-sy. They had the carriage rides, a massive tree in the hall and the children could write letters to Father Christmas and got a little toy to take home. They also had lovely mulled wines and juices in the cafe.

We go there quite a lot all year round as we live quite close but I think if you are looking for a super-Christmas-sy day out and are traveling any distance you might be a bit disappointed.

I don't understand why the Surrey NT properties don't put on any of the illuminated walks they seem to do in other counties.
