Tablet Advice for a 5 year old

Liesmyparentstoldme · 16/09/2018 10:31

I've never brought a tablet before. However, All the toys I brought last year are generally unplayed with or broken, and I don't want that to happen again! So ive decided I want to get one for my 5 year old DD for Christmas. Preferably around £50.
Any ideas?

Also could anyone recommend an electronic tablet like toy for preschoolers. Dd2 is 3.

for DD2, i would recommend this one right here. it is second hand, but looks in very good condition. first hand it is about £90. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kids-Leapfrog-epic-tablet/273464542386?hash=item3fabc1c4b2:g:0QAAAOSwi6Nbnh5~

for DD1, i would recommend this one. again, it retails at around £100, so this one is second hand. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kindle-Fire-7-Kids-Edition-16GB/153181881694?epid=2275278397&hash=item23aa5a055e:g:3swAAOSwwXVbnTKG

The amazon fire, I highly recommend it. You can buy a normal one and set the parental controls, or pay extra for the kids one, which is essentially the same tablet but comes with a kids case, a 2 year warranty, and parental controls already set up.
Not sure on prices at the moment, but they reduce for Black Friday.
It’s great for kids and really safe.

Definitely amazon fire it's fantastic and the kids version comes with a 2 year guarantee,

Hold off until Black Friday to buy them though

Kindle fire

Thank you for the recommendation. I've had a look at the kids kindle fire, and it does look really good. I'm happy to pay extra, because of the 2 year guarantee.

At the moment they are on a deal 2 for £160. If i hold off, doesn't black Friday only have limited stock.

If you buy now you'd lose 3 months warranty. Black Friday won't be an issue with buying 2

I'd also only buy direct from amazon as it makes the returns much easier if you need to use the warranty

Have a look on a website called camel camel camel U.K., it shows you the average, high, low, good price for any item on amazon and you can set up email price alerts for free too
