What are your fav chutney and pickle recipes?

I'm trying to decide which ones to make this year - usually make a couple of nigella ones

I usually make Rick steins picalilli, red onion chutney, mary berry Xmas chutney, a Bradley Apple and walnut one and a tomato chilli jam. The red onion chutney is everyone's favourite though!!!!

Which red onion chutney recipe do you use?

I've made cranberry and apple today. Was considering fig earlier ...

Zingy caramelised onion relish

90ml olive oil
6 large red onions
225g brown sugar
125ml orange juice
125ml red wine vinegar
60ml balsamic
1 tbsp orange zest
1tsp rosemary

1 heat olive oil in large heavy based pan over medium heat. Cook for 25-30 mins until tender and translucent

1. Add remaining ingredients. Cook stirring occasionally for 25-30 minutes until thickened
2. Pour into sterilised jars

I usually do a double recipe and it makes 3 small kilner jars worth. Don't remember where I got the recipe. It is my battered Christmas planner along with multiple to do lists from previous years!

I'm now also wondering about fig .. Can anyone recommend a recipe?

Nigella Sweet Chilli Jam is immense with cold cuts. Also love her Cranberry and Apple chutney!
