Hi everyone, wanting to create an arty/craft hamper for my DD, she is 7 and loves anything creative. I have the usual ideas - colouring pens/pencils, paper, pom poms, glue etc etc but can anyone think of any more interesting ideas?

She is also getting a "proper" desk - any ideas for craft storage?

Thanks!!

I'm doing something similar for ds who is 6

We've been into hobbycraft and got a paint your own bank, sun catcher, aquabeads, stickers, books on how to draw, lots of card and card making bits

the works do good little craft kits, like a santa suncatcher. may be worth getting some of these? pencil cases that are fluffy (WHSMITH are doing some) are also always a big hit.

Off cuts of fabric and wrapping paper
Ribbons
Lolly pop sticks
Those zigzag scissors
Tracing paper
Split pins
Water colour crayons
An art apron
Modelling clay

A newspaper rack like this works well for storing paper, colouring books etc www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/small-storage-organisers/paper-media-organisers/kvissle-wall-newspaper-rack-white-art-90198030/
This is handy for storing and transporting little bits www.hobbycraft.co.uk/flambeau-artbin-super-satchel-6-compartments/572988-1000
And the buckets in the picture are handy for storing felt tips, scissors, glue etc...

Crafty crocodiles are great for craft stuff and very well priced!

Tiger, Lidl, Aldi and some poundshops all do reasonably priced blank canvases and feel very, very grown up at 7
