Cash Back Sites/ Rewards

Avid follower of the Christmas bargain thread on here and always see the cash back sites recommended...absolutely no idea how they work or which is the best. Is Top Cash Back the one to go for? Almost seems a little too good to be true. What happens if you need a refund on something you've bought also- assuming no problems?

I have no idea how they work either or which one is the best one to go with. I too would like to know how they work so I'm place marking lol

If you get a refund then you don't get the cash back - it's not instant because of that

Topcashback is great. I also use Quidco and will look at the rates offered on both sites before buying.

Have a look at www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-websites/ for a good explanation of how they work. The biggest cashback rates tend to be for things such as insurance and holidays.

I have started Topcashback this year. I booked a weekend away through it with e bookers and bought a load of clothes from Asos in the January sales.

It took a few months for the cash to come through and I'm using it for Xmas presents from Amazon. You get more cash back if you convert it to amazon e vouchers. I wanted to get things now rather than wait.

I had enough to get a book for Dh, lego sets for the dc and new curling tongs for me. All free!

I have just signed up to topcashback.

I will be doing my Xmas shopping through it.

I use kidstart www.kidstart.co.uk/r1/1742084 you save for your children and transfer to their bank accounts, we both get a bonus if you use my link.

I also use topcashback www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/lindsey_franks again we both get a bonus if you use my link to sign up.

For a £2k holiday we got £48 through topcashback and had it as a pubs gift card of £50 (get a bonus for taking giftcards) which we will use when staying near LEGOLAND rather than the hotel restaurant.

I like kidstart for saving for kids but look which is offering best cashback.

It took 7 months to get my cash back from asos and 3 for e bookers. Some other little ones were quicker.

I like it but you need to be patient with the payouts. I wouldn't count on it for Xmas shopping this year but do your online shopping now and then spend the cash back next year.

I don’t buy anything online without checking for cashback or discount codes (try voucher cloud)

I convert my cash into Amazon vouchers because I like to have a stash saved on Amazon and the payout is slightly higher. You can choose a bank transfer or vouchers for all manner of places with Topcashback.

I use Quidco. You can also register debit cards with them and get cashback in some high street shops. I tend to forget about that so its a nice surprise when that goes through!

I always use it for insurance though - car, house, motorbike etc. I've had about £180 this year from that and we had to buy the policies anyway.

Some retailers are quicker than others to pay out. Bloom and Wild (flower delivery) paid up in a fortnight. Bennetts motorbike insurance took 10 months.
