I have 3 and 4 year old DDs and I'm constantly struggling as to how to handle Christmas present buying! I'm always tempted to just buy 2 of everything as they are really into the same things! But is this unoriginal and boring of me??

How would you handle it? To add further confusion, youngest dd's birthday is actually on Christmas Day. Eldest is 11th Jan so it's always really tightly packed!

Break out in to a cold sweat thinking about it!

Ask what they want from Santa. Only if they asked for the same thing would I buy double- perhaps buy them in different colours so you can tell them apart.

The youngest has no idea what I'm on about at the moment as she's not actually 3 until Christmas Day. The eldest has said a few bits which I have got. But then I've felt the need to get the same for youngest as I know she will live those things too haha

I've got 2 girls close in age and I've always bought 2 of everything - they're into the same stuff at the same time, like having hte same pj's etc and it's worked well for us. Either 2 of stuff or shared gifts because there's nothing one would like that the other wouldn't.

With everything happening all together as you have it I would be very frugal with actual Christmas gifts and spend the money on days out or memberships instead as a hive influx of 'stuff' would cause me a lot of stress!

I have 2 dds close in age. They always wanted some similar things. They used to be into Frozen so one got Anna and one got Elsa or different colours of the same thing so not exactly the same.
They have some different interests too so I would vary it with individual likes and some things the same.
They are 10 and 12 now and so far Santa has never had any complains Wink

I have 2 girls close in age too. I do a mix of shared presents, two of the same, and two different things.

Me and my DSis often got several same presents and it didn't really bother us.
