Christmas Advent Train

Hi,

Many years ago, my husband saw a wooden advent train; an engine plus 24 individual carriages. I thought it was silly - we were a young(ish) childish couple - and it also seemed a nuts thing to spend...well, I don't remember how much it was, just that it was expensive.

Anyway, he talks about it fondly every Christmas and despite my searching, I've never found one. He saw it in a store that has since closed, in a continent we no longer live. I've extensively googled, searched many random stores etc.

I've found a lot of trains, but none of them have the individual carriages.

This year I've started my annual search early and upped my efforts.

So, I turn to Mumsnet 😀 Has anyone seen an advent train on their travels...one with lots of carriages?

I haven't seen one with 24 individual carriages but I reckon you could get someone to make one. Have a look on etsy maybe and message some sellers and see if they can do one for you.

Does the train count down to advent or does it have compartments to put little gifts/trinkets into?
