Missing Part

I bought a Nintendo 2ds and a couple of games for my son whilst on a visit to the UK to see my mum. The country we are in celebrate a Christmas Eve. So he got the 2ds and one game last night and 'English' presents were this morning. When he opened the sealed game, bought from Argos, there was a couple of leaflets but no little disc or chip. There was a space for the chip but nothing in it. Ordinarily, I would have thought it had fallen out or got mislaid but we were all there. Has this happened to anyone else? What are the chances of them believing me?

Silly question but are you sure it's not a digital download code rather than a physical disk?

KC225 · 25/12/2017 13:39

No, I wondered that too but there is no code or any sign of any codes on the leaflets. But do games with codes have the space for the disc too.

that sounds like it has fallen out somewhere along the line. What game was it?

Other thing is remember that they domt come.with the game in them (for shoplifting), they are locked away and they put them in in the shop when you buy them. I presume it is similar at Argos so the sales person auite possibly just forgot to put it in?

Id go back with receiot and just state tahtbtaht is what hapenned, but check your recycling and unders sofas etc in case it just flew out when he was unwrapping it.

There are a few free games on the Nintendo eshop you can download for him to keep him busy in the meantime.

just seen you're not in the uk and it was sealed. Can you phone the number for the games manufacturer and see if they will send you a replacement? I thibk the 2DS is region locked like the 3DS sonmake sure they send you the corrwct one for your country ie US, Japan or Europe.

Managed to get in contact with Argos today and they will swap the game but they insist on it going back to the shop, as I collected it, despite me paying for it online. They were script ridgid. That is a pain as I am now in Sweden.

Googling missing discs from game revealed that it is not uncommon. Sometimes it's a manufacturing error, sometimes the discs are taken put of the boxes and resealed somewhere along the chain. It's recommended to always open the box (even if sealed) check it is inside.

Ok, maybe a pain but are you able to take it make to any Argos to be swooped? If you have an email or something to say that this has been agreed? This is just an idea, I don't know if it can be done.

I don't know how much it would cost, or if it would be worth doing, but if you posted it to me, I would be happy to exchange it at my local store and post it back to you.

Rossi that is such a kind offer but I have asked a friend to do it already, she has a shop at the end of the road. I thought that having paid for it online and having an account may have made them a little more flexible but apparently not.

Glad you have it sorted!
