Argh I need a rant (I forgot how stressful Christmas sodding Eve is). This is gonna Male me sound ungrateful as sin.

SIL and BIL cooking Xmas dinner tomorrow. Our contribution is a homemade Bruce Bogtrotter cake. And boozed Text to ask what time they want us there.

"Not sure"

Hmm

"Well any idea of a time as we have people to drop in on? Early afternoon, evening?"

"Dunno. I'll get back to you".

We have both our grandads to go and see. Both elderly, one with terminal cancer. Would be nice to be able to tell them/the carer when we're popping in, but I need to know a time for dinner!

How can they not know what time everything kicks off? Whenever I've hosted I'm like a mad woman re organisation, the children and DH get quite scared of me Confused

My sil is like this so I just announce a time and then carry on with my day. Text them saying you'll arrive at 3pm or whatever time and then do your visits. Eat a sandwich before you go because something tells me you'll be eating laaaate!
