Hi
Have about 8 for lunch next week, need to avoid ham / turkey- anyone got any inspiration for me?
Be nice to do something really nice. Age range 4-80!
I am stumped.

Not sure if it's to your taste but Diana Henry has an amazing slow cooked lamb shoulder in pomegranates and honey, which is great with flatbreads or rice and yoghurt. You should be able to find it on google.

If not, a really delicious lasagne is always a hit!

Chicken? Lamb, salmon, haggis...

My mum does a chicken / turkey, ham & leek pie - not really avoiding those meats but a different take on them and a good use of leftovers.

Salmon en croute?
Beef goulash
Fish cakes

What kind of suggestion are you after?

Fekko · 24/12/2017 11:03

What have you got? I wouldn't fancy a trip to the shops today!

Oh it's next week and isn't Christmas lunch! D'oh, should've read more carefully!

Risotto, lasagne - both good
Steak pie
Chilli or stroganoff

Beef bourginon with roasted new potatoes
Tapas style buffet: tortilla, albondigas, chorizo etc
Fish cakes as pp suggested

I forgot I posted this in the Christmas madness!
Amazing suggestions thank you so much.
I'm opting for salmon. I've bought a whole one (nothing like jumping in at the deep end - I've never done one before!)
Anyone any tips for best way to cook it?
Poach?
Thanks again
