What cheeses do you use? And grapes? Celery?

Did my cheese shop yesterday! Nothing particularly sophisticated but my favourites are:

Applewood smoked cheddar
Lovely creamy Stilton from Waitrose (number 4 strength)
Castello blue soft cheese
Brie
Red Leicester
Cornish cruncher from M&S

Lots of grapes and crackers!

BeBesideTheSea · 23/12/2017 20:56

Brie, Stilton, Oxford Blue, strong cheddar, smoked cheddar, Red Leicester, a soft fresh goat’s cheese, sage derby, grapes, onion marmalade.

Mmmmmmm, cheese

goose1964 · 23/12/2017 20:57

Far too many to mention, including toffee and fudge cheddar, sounds awful tastes like cheesecake.

ClandestineAdulation · 23/12/2017 21:01

goose1964

Where on earth do you buy a toffee and fudge cheddar??

Longdistance · 23/12/2017 21:02

Austrian smoked, Stilton, roule, Danish blue, Red Leicester, mature cheddar and Marmite cheese.

I have various crackers, red grapes, onion chutney and some Christmas chutney from hampers that were gifted. Pickled onions, gherkins and sun dried tomatoes.

I have only bought an Epoisses because my mum has sent me a hamper that is wrapped under the tree and I am willing to bet there is cheese in it.
I’m the only person in my house who eats it so I didn’t want to go over board, I can’t really afford to get any fatter.
I have cracked open the Epoisse already so you get a lovely stinky cheese whiff every time you open the fridge.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 24/12/2017 09:13

Stilton
A French soft cheese a bit like pont l'eveque but from Lidl
Emmental
Comte
Brie
A soft goat cheese
A head goat cheese
Roquefort
And I need to get a manchego today if I can
Went a bit crazy in m and s and got 4 different kinds or crackers
Quince paste
Onion chutney, the Tiptree brand

Cumberlover76 · 24/12/2017 09:21

Lidl French brie

Lidl salted crackers and possibly some date and walnut bread for the blue if I can find any today.

Love cheese, going to take it out if the fridge shortly so I can enjoy with wine thus afternoon :)

CantSleepClownsWillEatMe · 24/12/2017 09:52

I'm getting hungry just reading these Smile. So far I know we have:

Strong cheddar
Gouda
Goats cheese
Brie
Stilton
Manchego

With crackers, walnuts, pistachios, grapes, sliced apple/pear. Also quite a selection of chutneys. DH spots various types and has to buy! I'm looking forward to sampling a peaches and apricot one with goji berries and Guatemalan cardamom, hmm...
