Xmas eve reductions?

We had planned to buy m&s Xmas food tomorrow but we have just won tickets for the ballet! πŸŽ„β˜ƒπŸΎπŸ˜
So we will now have no time tomorrow and will have to go Sunday instead. My thoughts are as we are already leaving it so late/risking things having run out, why not just leave it until they reduce. So my question is this: Does anyone know what time m&s reduce on Xmas eve?

I would be too stressed out personally to risk this in case everything is sold out - my recurrent Christmas nightmare is waking up on Christmas morning only to realise that I have forgotten to "do Christmas" - but I have huge admiration for you if you have the balls 😁 Happy Christmas!

Really late. We did this once just to see if you could get amazing bargains - nope. You'd definitely get a reduced turkey crown though. There's lots of people hanging about looking for a bargain. One assistant explained to us it's to do with dates on the stuff so if its not going out of date they won't reduce it. You get better bargains next week as the stuff goes out of date.

Nothing was sold out! Unless you wanted a specific pudding maybe.

I would go about half an hour before the end and be prepared for pot luck, but there could also be a scrum because quite a lot of people do this.

But yes, a lot of stuff might not be reduced if the dates are the 26/27th.

I think it was last year that I went to the Boxing Day sales first thing and some of my best bargains were a couple of big packs of M&S smoked salmon for about Β£3 each - I portioned it up in the freezer and had smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfasts at least twice a week for most of 2017.

Bare in mind it's a Sunday so Sunday trading hours.

I normally nip out on Christmas eve, have never managed to pick anything particularly barginous though xx
