Hotwheels help please?

DS asked for Hotwheels sets for Christmas and his birthday, and it sounds like some relatives have run with the idea. I think he is going to receive about four sets across the two events, but no-one seems to have bought him cars. So, do the sets with cars, or do I need to buy some? Do all the Hotwheels cars work on all the tracks? Also, can the sets connect together?

TIA

Most of the sets come with one car, apart from some of the trackmaster add on packs. But they're not expensive so why not buy a few extra for his Christmas stocking?
And Yes, the tracks connect together. You can follow the instructions or make your own.

Most sets will fit together. They should come with at least one car, perhaps two. Some bigger ones come with more.
All the supermarkets sell them though, so easy to pick up more if needed after Christmas. Yes most of them will be compatible with the tracks. The odd special type won't be, but the majority are! :) Hope that helps, we have HUNDREDS of the things Blush

The sets will come with cars and they are all compatible with each other, so long as each set is Hot wheels and not a different make. It's easy to buy more cars because they're sold in the toy shelves of most supermarkets for pocket money prices. You'll soon have a vast collection! 😂

Thanks everyone. We do already have a few Hotwheels cars, but I wasn’t sure if they were the right ones for the tack. Now I know, I may pick up a few more when I pop to Sainsburys, as I am guessing it’s one of those things we may ‘need’ quite a few of, what with two children, and uncles and a daddy playing!

We have bought a set called Hotwheels track bundle for ds - one of the bigger sets but not the biggest - and it comes with around ten cars. My dd is getting a smaller starter track and that comes with one, so we have bought the pack of cars (might be 9, can’t remember, but think it brought them to the same amount) from Argos, it was in the 2 for 15 deal.

Ds got a starter track last year and it has been played with a lot, despite only being a few bits of track, so hopeful he should have lots of fun with it.
