Science/Astronomy book for young teen

When asking a relative what to buy for her DS she suggested this. I was quite surprised as I thought a lot of this would be researched online. I've had a look in the shops but not finding much. Can anyone suggest anything.
(I'm happy to check with the relative to check if suitable and ill include a gift receipt.)

Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything is great, funny and quite accessible to a good reader. Tim Peake’s book is also excellent but I’d recommend Endurance by Scott Kelly as an absolutely stonkingly good read about space travel and the ISS. ds also loves this:
