How do you put up your decorations?

Apologies if this has been done.

I'm being a bit rubbish this year... but my daughter is begging to put decorations up. So I have some Christmas baubles, bunting and a couple of plug in sets of fairy lights but I'm clueless really with what to attach them with. Really reluctant to seliptape stuff up...

and can't think where go put lights - do you just ignore the trailing cable to a plug and just sling them around a painting or what? I dont have any plugs near s window sill... or the stair banisters without tripping over it and am drawing a complete blank!

I've really not caught the Christmas bug yet, sorry for being complete rubbish!

Do you not have an extension cord? If not, just sling them round pictures or on mantlepiece.

Have you got a tree?

I just wrap lights around the banister and put the trees up. I don't decorate the whole house because you end up with oil marks/holes/ripped paint on the walls and ceilings for the rest of the year.

Tree is up! After a few years I've cracked the extension requirement for that 😊
House suffers from ' very few sockets in stupid places' and I don't like doing extension into extension.

Yes, that's what I was worrying about , I don't want marks / missing chunks of wall paper. I'll de- scrooge and wing some tinsel around. I've discovered command hooks ,Will sort some , I now just need to kidnap a tall person to help me 😂
