Help...wowcher...part missing from dd's pram

I bought a pram from wowcher (stupidly) I've fitted it together this morning and there is a part missing from the car seat so I can't adjust it to make it fit into the frame. The button you push in to make the prongs adjust is missing from one side. If that makes sense.

I'm so upset I've cried...It's dd's main present and she liked this pram because it had a car seat.

What are the chances of wowcher sorting before Christmas?

The pram is out of stock everywhere so I can't even get another from the shop.

I've tried contacting wowcher and the pram manufacturer but both are closed today.

Any advice?? Sad

Can you make the pram work a bit? Just so she's got something to open...

You have the usual consumer rights when buying online. 14 days to notify of return and a further 14 to return it. They pay as it's faulty.

Hopefully they can replace it.

pineappleeyes · 16/12/2017 12:22

It's been over 14 days. It's been in the garage in the box. She is away this weekend so I've taken the opportunity to build it.

Do they have to send me a replacement if it's faulty even if the 14 days has passed. I have no idea about my rights?

I'm so upset about it.

If you fear you will get nowhere with them then Google the manufacturer and email for a spare part. More likely they will get it to you in time for Santa.

It's all ok cheap until I try and fit the car seat to the frame. I can't adjust the prongs that fit into the frame as there's no button to adjust them. So one prong is at an angle permanently and can't be moved. The carry got fits on ok but she actually wanted this particular pram for the car seat.

Pic below...this should have a black cap on it to push so I can move the prong things

I've been on the britax site but I can only see spares for the real baby prams not the dolls ones.

Yes...contact Britax for spares

spares.britax.co.uk/content/contact/15587.3.4.3

Or call their complaints line.

In the meantime, write a note to DD from the elves to explain that Santa has to send another part for the pram....he's very sorry about the delay but the elves were so busy this year that they ran out of that bit! But here's an extra chocolate for being such a good girl. They chose her to wait for the part because they know how kind and nice she is.

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 16/12/2017 12:34

Don't just go on the site, phone them up.

pineappleeyes · 16/12/2017 12:42

I've phone the britax number in Andover it's closed today. Aargh
I'll see if I can find a complaint number.
Thank you for your help.
As it's faulty someone has to help don't they?? I don't want them to say you've had it for weeks so tough luck. I've had it about 3 weeks

Phone back on Monday. Consider the elf letter though as well....if you do the fantasy side of Christmas that is!

LIZS · 16/12/2017 12:59

Is it actually made by britax or Halsall under licence?

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 16/12/2017 13:27

In the first 6 months it's deemed that the fault was there when you bought it, though I think they are able to try to repair after 30 days have passed rather than replace. How long have you had it, if it's longer than 14 days?

They will still have to pay to return it.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 16/12/2017 13:28

I think you're OK after 3 weeks. The right to reject is 30 days, IIRC.

ijustwannadance · 16/12/2017 13:39

Britax themselves don't make dolls prams.

I thonk the only company that do are silver cross for their mini coach built prams.

ijustwannadance · 16/12/2017 13:39

*think

pineappleeyes · 16/12/2017 13:47

that's my Santa I've just got it out of the box today and built it it's not even been used.

I took delivery mid/end November. I'll check my emails for exact date.

I've bought it through wowcher so who's responsibility is it to send the replacement? Wowcher or whoever supplied wowcher??

It's the britax smile doll pram. So I aren't sure who makes it.

Your contract is with wowcher

pineappleeyes · 16/12/2017 13:56

Just checked...I took the delivery on 24 November. I know because I emailed wowcher on the same day to complain that it hadn't arrived as the delivery was the week before.

Find the name of the manufacturer on the box, google their customer support phone number and start ringing them at 9am on Monday morning. Most businesses will try to help in the run up to Christmas if they possibly can.

pineappleeyes · 16/12/2017 16:20

The manufacturer named on the box is the one cheap linked to above. But I can't find dolls prams on their site??

I'll ring wowcher and the manufacturer first thing on Monday? Hopefully one of them will help me

Thanks everyone
