What can we have for Christmas Eve dinner that includes prawns?

We're in Oz...it's HOT. DD has asked if we can have prawns on Christmas Eve...what can I DO with them? Was thinking nice new potatoes, lovely salad and bread....coleslaw too.

With a nice pudding...probably cheescake or fruit and icecream.

Any other prawny ideas or accompanyments please? Not doing curries etc...she likes a basic prawn!

On the barbie of course. Garlic prawns.

I have a quiet love for prawn cocktails.

Honestly though, good bread and good butter and fresh prawns is epic.

Cheap I don't mind the snow so much - it's the bloomin' ice that stays around for days afterwards! Roll on spring .

We always have prawn crepes with salad on Christmas Eve (Oz too). When we lived in England we had them as a starter on Christmas Day but that was totally inappropriate here!
