Bath bombs advice pls

Dd would love a bath bomb but she has eczema and also has had thrush a few times so I don't want to make anything worse! Obviously I'd shower her down afterwards anyways but can anyone recommend anything super gentle? She's 7 btw.

May be better to make your own as at least you can keep it to basic ingredients. However, you can't buy a "single serving" of the materials, so you'd need to buy a small quantity in bulk, if you see what I mean.

Basic ingredients are citric acid & bicarbonate of soda and a small drop of almond or other plant oil. You can then add rosewater, purified water, and cocoa butter (the latter is not mandatory, but soothing, though you need to be careful not to put so much that the bath becomes slippery).

Lush do amazing bath bombs that are made from natural ingredients. They even have one suitable for babies so will be ok for sensitive skin.
If you can pop into a store, the people that work they're are really helpful and know a lot about the ingredients so will be able to help you out.

If she has ezcema seriously avoid Lush bath bombs like the plague. They are packed with SLS which is terrible for ezcema. Lush has had a lot of criticism for keeping it in its products while selling on a natural image.

The lush robot one is lovely , it's a lavender type fragrance and is suitable from the age of 6 months

I like lush products, but I think a lot of people end up with thrush after using their bath bombs so I would avoid them for your daughter. I don't have any other suggestions though sorry!

I wouldn’t risk it tbh. I have eczema and prone to thrush, even walking into Lush makes me itch and if I use anything other than my usual shower get I end up being sore down below for weeks. It’s a shame as I love lush, if anyone buys me them for Christmas I just leave them in my bathroom to make it smell nice but can’t put them in my bath.

I wonder whether bath melts might be more suitable? Looks like making your own with coconut oil is really simple.

Lush robot might be suitable from 6 months but it doesn't mean it's suitable for people with ezcema from 6 months.

Bath bombs as a concept just aren't ezcema friendly wherever they are from. Bit like bubble bath. Melts or oils are better but she still may react to fragrances or essential oils.

She could try (on the Lush theme) Ceridwen's Cauldren which is a bath melt with oats in it which should be lovely and soothing for her ezcema, and no SLS or foaming in sight.

Tbh I wouldn’t risk it I had eczema as a child and remember begging my mum for bubble bath after months she gave in and the burn I felt after getting in that bath made me jump straight out I listened to her from then on.

E45 have a children's range with a bubble bath in which I found I could use with ezcema so there are choices now but you just can't use mainstream products. Earth Friendly Baby is another SLS-free range my skin likes with a bubble bath.

Am old enough that it was bath salts not bath bombs but I've also had the jump straight out of the bath experience
