What are the 'cool' rucksacks these days? DD needs a new one and it would be nice to get her one that will last.

I don't know where to start brand wise though.

How old is she? Dd is in year five and smiggle and Claire's seem to be en vogue or sports brands like Nike etc

My daughter likes Dakine rucksacks. Great selection of bags and patterns and very hard wearing.

She is in Year 5 too and has enough Smiggle stuff already and I was hoping for one that might last her a couple of years.

There was a bag with lots of stars on it that I saw and had different patterns, but I can't for the life of me remember the brand.

You don't mean galaxy bags do you, they have lots of stars on and come in pinks and purples or blues. They're very popular. Vans is one of the brands but you can get copies on ebay which are just as sturdy.
