Nice soaps

Can anyone recommend some nice soaps for my mother, please? She's specifically asked for some. She prefers full sized soap to guest soap, and particularly likes florals like rose and lavender, but also loves ginger and cinnamon scents.

If anyone could recommend a brand it'd be much appreciated.

There was a recent (ish) long thread about soap, on which many posters recommended Nesti Dante soap, available from Amazon. It sounds as though that might fit the bill.

Neste Dante from John Lewis. Expensive but massive bar.

Another vote for nesti dante. Not really expensive, 3.20 a bar in Holland and Barrett and usually get another half price

Floris - absolutely lovely scents and feel very luxurious

Another vote for Nesti Dante, I get them on offer in Holland and Barrett too, huge bars. Portofino is my fav I think.

Crabtree and Evelyn are lovely.

I've got the advent calendar from L'Occitane this year. The soap samples have been gorgeous (and I'm a regular Nesti Dante buyer). I've been pulling out and sniffing the Almond Exfoliating soap and the lemon verbena is authentic, not overpowering or artificial.

They have lots of flowery fragrances and gift sets for Christmas on the website.

Nesti Dante certainly seem to be popular. I can see why looking at the scents available and the packaging. Unfortunately Holland and Barrett don't seem to stock it on their U.K website,but I'll call the store, and there's always Amazon.

I'll also check out Crabtree and Evelyn, Jo Malone, Claus Porto, Floris and L'Occitane. She also loves almond and lemon so they'd go down very well.

I'm tempted to get her a variety of brands, to give her the chance to try everything.

OP, yes Holland and Barrett never seem to put them on their website I'm not sure why, also in my city they have two shops in the town centre, the smaller one doesn't stock them either. So hopefully if your town has a larger store they'll have them.

L'Occitane Cinnamon and Orange is always in my Christmas bathroom (for me to wash with not a general handsoap) the smell really lasts.

I love the Verbena and the Shea Milk soaps ( IIRC the C&O is a 100g bar but Shea Milk is available bigger)

I (personally) don't like the big bars because they slip out of my hands and I'm forever picking them up / dropping them on my feet.

I'll check out the Holland&Barrett shops , I need new soap myself

L'Occitane almond is in my bathroom at the moment. Crabtree & Evelyn have all the fragrances you mum likes.

Nesti Dante are the absolute bloody business.

Are they (Nesti Dante) in Holland&Barrett shops at all ?

I'll be near a John Lewis and a H&B tomorrow , I can go and smell them.

I love Lush, last year I had a bright blue soap which smells gorgeous
