tesco

I really liked the Asda one last year but this year Aldi are doing one with a little chocolate robin perched on top so I'm getting that one.

frankiethepanda · 12/12/2017 09:35

Ooooh I've not seen Tescos yet, is it fudge icing? That's my favourite :P

I've seen the aldi one it's quite small unfortunately and looks like just solid chocolate, now I may be wrong it is very pretty though

Oh that sounds disappointing. I've only seen it in the catalogue where it looked amazing of course. If it's a let down I'll get an Asda one.

The Aldi one is very pretty but according to others who have seen it in store it is very small. At £9.99 it's not cheap either!

HemanOrSheRa · 12/12/2017 12:52

I looked at the Aldi 'Robin' one yesterday - the cake part of it is tiny! Really tiny! I double checked to make sure it wasn't a duff one at the front of the shelf Grin.

I always get marks and Spencer's. Absolutely beautiful

Goldenhandshake · 12/12/2017 14:04

Always M&S

We normally sed DS1 to Asda for the chocolate log.

PodgeBod · 12/12/2017 16:41

Just home from Aldi and no sign of the robin yule log :(

ItsTimeForDuggee · 12/12/2017 16:45

The Asda one is very good and the lidls one isn't to bad either

BusterTheBulldog · 12/12/2017 16:51

Morrison’s ‘the best’ (or whatever the premium range is) is awesome! And I am something of a connoisseur if I do say so myself Xmas Grin

frankiethepanda · 13/12/2017 08:55

Seems asda one is winning but it has some janky reviews online can anyone confirm that this year's one is nice?

The Asda Extra Special ones were less than half price yesterday so I bought one, coming up to their best before date, so I better eat it quickly :D

Joolsy · 13/12/2017 09:16

PS it's lovely, especially with some double cream. I had 2 slices just to be sure

SlothMama · 13/12/2017 09:44

The Sainsbury's and M&S ones are gorgeous
