I am being totally thick or something? (Probably am.)

Is there a way of doing this please?

You can click on each item where it says standard delivery and change it to the free one.

Sorry I should have explained that I live abroad (Europe Zone 1) so I don't get free delivery - thanks very much though!

I just wondered if there was a means by which you could click on each item in an order and see what the cost of postage is for that individual thing?

I'm in Europe too and have the same problem. I find its impossible to work our postage until I get to the checkout. So often have to go back and find a different supplier. It is annoying though!

It usually says before you click through to basket

I put them in the basket one at a time, click "save for later" on the rest. Then start to check out. You can see the shipping cost, sometimes straight away, sometimes perilously close to the final click.
Then repeat for each item.
It's a pain! I hate Amazon but they're a necessary evil.

I used to order stuff, then immediately look at "my orders" for the individualised shipping costs and cancel everything straight away to re-order the non-eye-watering ones or change addresses.

I cannot understand why they can't just show you the shipping costs in your basket Hmm

I'm in Ireland and use parcel motel sometimes to cut down on shipping costs. But only if I know I won't have to return the item because that's a huge faff and parcel motel have appalling customer service but are another necessary evil

Thanks for the responses! Glad I was not being totally dense but sorry others are experiencing the same issue.

That's a good tip about ordering items one by one but I agree it's a total pain!

I discovered that the potential postage for one order worth £90 was over £100! I obviously didn't press "order" and it took me over 15 mins to discover the culprit was some gift bags being sent from Cornwall at extortionate rates! Ridiculous!
