Anyone else putting their boots out for St Nicholas tonight?

My DC are busy polishing their boots now.
They have been super-excited all day. We have stockings from Father Christmas on Christmas Eve too, so St Nicholas won't bring much -
apple, nuts, chocolates, and our new tradition of a Christmas jumper.

Anyone else? We leave our boots at the front door, so I might have to run down and put them out first thing in the morning - bit worried about them either being stolen or eaten by foxes (do foxes like chocolate and nuts?)

Helspopje - We have those letters too (Hema Grin)

I agree Sludge, and many shops/people/places, as I mentioned earlier, drop the 'zwarte' part, as do we.

The teenagers now take a size 10/11. Do you know how much chocolate you need to fill that?!

Another Dutch girl here Grin. My dd is 11 but still loves the shoe thing, she doesn’t speak a lot of Dutch but can sing Sinterklaas Kapoentje fluently! I am so glad that we now have Hema online to buy chocolate letters and everything else Smile.

I love the chocolate letters!
I think I had imagined them quite small, a bit like those ABC Russisch Brot cookies, but they are enormous. No wonder you need big feet Grin. I quite want to get some of those next year.

One of my DC had a breakfast this morning of enormous shiny red apple, caramelised nuts and chocolate coins. The other is a bit of a hoarder and hasn't eaten any of it yet Xmas Shock.
