How much does your Christmas day cost?

Not including gifts. I'm thinking of the special food, drink etc.
I generally host between 12 and 20 on Christmas day so have economies of scale but do go all out so probably £15 per head approx plus any wine/beer which guests may bring. Includes a nice brunch, big traditional meal mid afternoon, crackers, nibbles at dinner time, (inexpensive) wine for the table etc.
I don't buy a fresh turkey from the butcher or it would be a bit more.

I havent priced it up I never do but am hosting for 6 adults 2 small children. Then another 2 adults in the evening think it works out about £200

I just couldn't afford to host like that. So many people!

This year we're at MILs so my food shopping will only be for Christmas Eve's special dinner and for something nice on boxing day....might have gammon/lamb on one day and fish and prawns on another.

Probably cost me about 200 dollars all in.

Just me, DH, 2 pre school DD’s and my mum (who doesn’t eat much and doesn’t drink) so not much. Not even worth adding up really, mainly absorbed into our normal food shop.
I wish we had a big family to host.

I'm not sure. This year I'm baking more and the ingredients are adding up a bit, it has to be said!

But, I'll have used about £180.00 in Nectar points plus a £75 M&S voucher to pay for almost everything. So, actual real cost to me isn't that great (I couldn't afford to go all out without the points I use, to be honest).

Last year, about £300/ £350. This year about £150.

There will be seven of us, not including booze probably around £20 per head. Inc booze will push it right up!

About £40 , only 3 of us, I don’t drink so it won’t cost much at all.

Haven't a clue, not too much probably around £50 but there are only 3 of us although 2 of them are gannets

Depending on how many we are hosting, around 20-25 people so probs £600-800, that’s all food and drinks.

Lots but I cook for lots so per head probably not too awful.
Drinks purchased ages ago so they don’t count (£650) to Majestic but includes Fizz for drinks party on Boxing Day)
Turkeys ordered - around £150 for three large crowns with additional ham, sausagemeat, sausages, bacon from butchers. Comes to around £220 or so, I guess.
Pudding, cake, mince pies, cranberry sauce all made ages ago,so,don’t count.
Veg can’t come to much.
We don’t do starters as we go to friends for fizz and salmon after Mass.
Haven’t really added it all up but it does mount up and we’re not unduly extravagant.

I reckon Christmas eve, Christmas day and boxing day probably come close to £150 including drinks for dh and I.

With a fair few leftovers, mind. I reckon I could do it for four or five without spending more on food. Christmas Dinner for two is rather uneconomical really.

I don’t get the expensive organic, free-range turkey, so will start out at about £25. The rest of the meal is fairly cheap. We are not big on starters or pudding, but do like wine. I imagine our meal for 8 will come in under £100, and that will be 3 major meals.

No more then £10 for Christmas Dinner, breakfast is £5, then it’s just snacks and nibbles and stuff ( Pringles, quality street, cheese and biscuits etc) but I reckon that’s probably around the £20 mark but will last beyond Christmas Day

I think around £600-£800 ish. We have 16 for dinner, meat ordered at the butcher - forerib of beef, shortribs, sausages and bacon for the pigs in blankets, and a ham. That was about £240.
Then the rest is on booze, the sides for the meal, cheeseboard, puds and accompaniements, tend to use about 3 million ingredients to make the gravy .
I don't ask anyone to bring anything though, as hosts we provide everything.
Invariably people bring stuff but we always say not to.
