Sorry, but didn’t know where else I could ask this question and get quick and helpful answers. My sons birthday today, got him the kids fire on a Black Friday deal.
I can’t work out how to add content/videos to his profile from mine. I have amazon prime so thought I could add some of the prime videos, but it seems to be saying I can only add ones I’ve “purchased”..
It’s got so much kids stuff on there, but of course he wants the things that are not on there.

Anyone?
Discovered I can’t add videos from prime but so far I’ve been unable to add anything from the web, including websites or videos. It’s driving me mad Angry

I had this problem and I can't remember how I got round it. I know I googled it and found a tutorial online.

Sorry... that's not helpful I know. Hopefully someone helpful will be along soon.

It's pretty easy. Go into his profile, then access his settings - you'll have to put your pin in to do this. You then get a load of options to manage content and settings, including which items from your library you wish to allow him access to. It also lets you limit the things available to him via Kindle Unlimited - I remove access to certain apps and characters that upset him. Hope that helps!

I don’t have anything in my library and don’t want to pay for anything. At the moment I’m just trying to allow certain websites or add videos from YouTube but it keeps giving me an error message.

I don't use YouTube, so not sure on that one, but the same process should (theoretically) work for all other content. Naturally, DS's is currently flat, but will stick it on charge and then have a go at putting something from YouTube on.

Thanks. When I go to add content, then add video from web, it automatically loads YouTube. It asks me to search for videos to add, when I find when I click allow in top right corner then it says something along the lines of “problem.. failed to add content. Please try again.” Been trying for 24 hours.
Same problem with allowing web pages the same way, such as Disney junior or CBeebies
At them moment any web pages searched for in the kids profile are saying either try something else or unable to load.
I’m pretty sure all my settings are accurate. I’ve even turned all the kids goals and limits and everything off temporarily

Please excuse shocking pictures!

1 - open up child's profile and press the 'Settings' button.
2 - select 'Add Content'
3 - Choose 'Add Videos from the internet' (or add website if you'd prefer)
4 - This will open up YouTube - you can search for the video you wanted (I went with 'Sarah & Duck' for demonstration purposes)
5 - Select the video you want to add, then click the green 'ALLOW' button.
6 - It will pop up 'Web Video Added'.

This then let's your small person see that when they go into they 'Web' section of their profile. Does that help?

(The fingerprints probably give you a sense of how well used it is!)

Imustbemad00 · 28/11/2017 11:32

Thank you. Mine must have something wrong with it as when I click ‘allow’ it comes up with an error message. I’ve tried several different videos and it just won’t work

Urgh. That's tricky. Amazon's online chat service has always been pretty good for me - perhaps they can help?
