Sainsbury Taste the Difference Mini Mince Pies here ( nicer than the bigger ones) though the bakery ones are supposed to be nice.

I bought 2 packs of Tesco Finest Mini Mince Pies but they're Xmas Hmm not nice and tangy like Sainsbury.

I haven't tried M&S for years, last lot I bought had a weird bubblegum taste !

Morrisons shortcrust bakery ones. Delicious 😋

PurpleStar123 · 26/11/2017 21:14

I got some from Waitrose the other day and they were v nice, I can’t remember which ones they were though

Someone on MN suggested Aldi Sloe Gin mince tarts, I finally got to Aldi to buy some on Friday and they are amazing.

RavingRoo · 26/11/2017 21:23

Greggs do amazing mince pies

JesusTapdancingChrist · 26/11/2017 23:01

Gregg's.

No other mince pie comes close.

poisonedbypen · 26/11/2017 23:11

Waitrose Heston ones. Yum

MyCatIsAPsychopath · 26/11/2017 23:42

Husband loves the Lidl's own Favorina ones. They're consistently great!

Robots1Humans0 · 26/11/2017 23:56

Another vote for Greggs! Mmmmm

GinYummy · 27/11/2017 10:56

I have just had a greggs one and it was amazing!!! New favourite. It may not look as pretty but it was delicious.
Thank you got the help everyone.

The Aldi sloe gin ones are lovely. The Heston Blumenthal ones from Waitrose though are my favourite.

Serin · 27/11/2017 11:20

I never go to Iceland but make a special trip for their mince pies. Haven't been this year so hope the recipe hasn't changed.

Costco's are also lovely but more of a cake topping rather than pastry. They are also huge!

Sloe Gin ones in Aldi sound great.

lannister · 27/11/2017 11:37

I've always found that the simple supermarket versions are always nicer than their 'special' ranges

bastardlyandmutley · 27/11/2017 12:04

Iceland luxury ones are very nice. I've always enjoyed the Waitrose ones too.

WellTidy · 27/11/2017 12:22

I am no cook, but one thing I do make are mince pies. The mincemeat is so easy to make (you just add the ingredients into a bowl and let it steep for a few days) and I always buy ready to roll pastry (like I said, I am no cook). They taste so much nicer than the shop bought ones and take barely any time at all. I buy pretty much everything else, I must say.

Notso · 27/11/2017 12:39

Iceland luxury ones are lovely. I have six boxes stashed in the cupboard for Christmas.

I do make my own but I do th think mine are as good as Iceland's.

DownTheChimney · 27/11/2017 14:00

Aldi chocolate orange ones are VERY nice.

They are indeed Xmas Smile

4forksake · 27/11/2017 14:21

Definitely make your own. Delias recipe for mincemeat (mine is just out of the oven). Rich shortcrust pastry. They'll be the nicest you have!

GinYummy · 27/11/2017 16:31

Off to aldi tomorrow....
