Present for childminder?

What can I get for our childminder for Christmas? We don't really know her tastes very well as DC has only been going there for a few months. I want to spend about £25 max.

I'm currently wondering about a pretty reusable/insulated coffee mug with a lid (I doubt she often gets to drink her coffee hot!) and then perhaps some really nice biscuits or chocolates. I did wonder about coffee/tea but I don't know what sort she drinks or how she likes to make it - cafetière, etc.

Should I get a little something for her kids too?

In the past we had the following for DD's after school childminder:

Tree ornaments
Flower pot with a plant you can plant outdoors, she has a lovely garden
Kindle voucher one year where we knew they would go skiing directly after Christmas
Bottle of wine or bubbly

I normally added a really nice box of chocolate for the rest of the family, her daughters were already teenager when DD started, getting anything for them felt a bit over the top despite them quite hands on with the mindees.

We bought ours a bracelet last year and earrings this year as she likes jewellery . We got her some candles for her birthday this year too .

I've got mine some nice warm mittens for buggy pushing and a woodwick candle. Stocked her up up with certain body shop stuff u know she uses.

Childminder here!
I have been really lucky over the years and recieved some really thoughtful gifts. Some of my favourites have been pretty notebooks and pens, voucher to a beauty salon, cook book and wine.
A few parents have also bought a book or a game for all the children to share here.
The absolute best gift was a tree ornament that the child had made at a local pottery shop, makes me smile every year.

We give a posh box of chocs, a decent bottle of red wine and a little present for each if her 4 kids (normally a choc Santa or something).

Thank you - some great ideas here. We are actually going away this week (Iceland!) so might look for nice mittens - I like that idea. A tree ornament is a lovely suggestion as well. So maybe a selection of smaller presents, plus chocolate Santas/bears/something for her kids - I'd like to get them a little something as her DD (8/9) is absolutely lovely with DS, who adores her.

I'm buying mine gin! She bloody needs it looking after my DC.

I’m a cm. if you know what she drinks, get a bottle of that. Or a voucher for a nice restaurant or coffee shop if she likes that kind of thing (or costa if you aren’t sure). That could double as a whole family gift dependant on the amount. Or cinema tickets.
I’d prefer if families steal away from personalised stuff. My main tree is where everything colour coordinates, the tree in the dining room is for my children’s craft work and then I make a tree with sticks for the things I make with the minders, but once they leave on the 22nd that will come down. I wouldn’t have room for photos of your children or there creations however well intentioned the idea was.

My cm friend loves Yankee candles (so do I actually) and her families always get her them. Her house always smells lovely.

Or a nice garden plant if she likes gardening (or something already planted if she likes the idea but doesn’t have the time-like me).
