Feeling very pleased - all the presents have been bought- all done online and food delivery booked. Now time to enjoy the run up to Christmas without any stress!

Yep I'm the same. I love internet shopping!

HRTpatch · 26/11/2017 08:10

90% of mine bought online. Wonderful.

TonicAndTonic · 26/11/2017 08:13

I'm not there yet, but it's certainly my aim to do Christmas like that too OP! Love online shopping Grin

Nanasueathome · 26/11/2017 08:14

I’m the same
Am sure the neighbours must talk about me as there have been deliveries most days
My daughter has her parcels delivered to my house and my younger son works abroad so has sent all his stuff to mine too
Some days there has been more than one delivery

Just love internet shopping. Have bought very little from an actual shopping trip

TheMasterNotMargarita · 26/11/2017 08:15

I'm almost there too. And managed to wrap everything that arrived so far.
I was getting a bit waaahhhh as I'm usually done by now but did most of it last weekend.
Just chocs and booze gifts to get.

Taffeta · 26/11/2017 08:23

I went RL shopping on Black Friday and it was shit! I couldn’t find anything - I kept wishing I could just tap in a search Grin

I did get a couple of jumpers that I could try on for size, but then came home, relieved, and continued shopping online.

The only place that was wonderful in RL, as always, was Waterstones. The way they lay out the books, the little reviews, similar books grouped together, comfy chairs, a Costa onsite, all encourages browsing. Got some great ideas I’m still pondering.

DH is the food shopper and main cook in our house. He’s done the Christmas food order - a combination of Cook and Tesco’s this year. We need to eat a lot of food in the next couple of weeks to make room for the amount he’s ordered. We had a Cook Christmas dinner at my DSis last year and it was gorgeous so really looking forward to the same type of food this year.

So its your fault the high street is in decline Wink

Taffeta "I kept wishing I could just tap in a search"

Me too!!! I hate having to actually look for stuff :(

Fluffysparks · 26/11/2017 10:08

Well soon you won’t have the choice and all the shops will be on a computer...

Parker231 · 26/11/2017 10:26

Fluffysparks - I would hope that people have a choice and those who prefer to go to the shops do so but if others prefer internet shopping, there is an opportunity to do that as well. I’m time poor so internet shopping is a huge help. I’ve 2 long haul trips to do for work before Christmas as well as a large pre Christmas family party. DT’s are at Uni so when they are home for the holidays I’d rather spend my free time with them rather than queuing at the shops. DH and I are on holiday for 3 weeks in January so my plan is to get everything organized so I can enjoy Christmas and our holiday without any last minute rush for shopping.

I’m with you OP, I finished yesterday and made the most of Black Friday discount & voucher codes! It’s a boon to those of us living/working abroad in particular, because I just cannot imagine the rush/stress of getting it all bought and paid for on 22nd Dec when we fly back. We’re hosting a get together for neighbours on 23rd plus Christmas lunch for ten so to be able to get it all ordered and paid for beforehand has been so handy.

IWishYouWere · 26/11/2017 10:38

I do 90% off my shopping online too I much prefer it, the only shops I've bought from in store are Argos and primark.

Fiona1984 · 26/11/2017 10:48

I'm looking forward to doing most of my Xmas shopping online, gotta wait until payday though. I will still make a trip into town to look for little bits, some things jump out at you that you wouldn't have thought of buying. For specific things, I order online.

Sofabitch · 26/11/2017 10:50

Is that such a bad thing?

apostropheuse · 26/11/2017 12:43

I do mine online every year. It's all bought and wrapped now and my grocery shop booked. I don't enjoy going into shops, do this suits me very well.

I've just packed my suitcase for a week's holiday - I leave on Thursday, so I don't have to worry about it when I return.

Trialsmum · 26/11/2017 18:13

I’ve done most of mine online. I had to nip into town to go to Primark and it was a disaster. I sat in traffic for an hour so only had time to go to the one shop before I had to go and pick ds up. As usual the council choose the run up to Christmas to start roadworks then complain that no one uses the high street...

Robinkitty · 26/11/2017 18:25

90% of my Christmas shopping has been almost done online, just waiting to checkout on pay day.
We went actual shopping last weekend, started with the 11 year old crying tears of anger and ended in me feeling like doing it - never again!
I will have a browse around our local boots when the dc are at school, I like shopping in boots.

Lovemusic33 · 26/11/2017 18:25

Done most of mine online, doing one trip to b&m and primark next week and I’m finished.

Jaffalong · 26/11/2017 19:28

I've done 90% online and have just booked my Tesco delivery slot for the 23 Dec.

Just got my mum, niece and my sister in law left to buy for and then I'm done.

Jaffalong · 26/11/2017 19:34

With two young children there is no way I would venture into a shop. It's completely overwhelming for them and leaves me really stressed. I love the choice we have nowadays, we can choose to shop online or not. If you're housebound for a particular reason then you have the freedom to shop online.

RaininSummer · 26/11/2017 19:43

Me too. It is a shame about shops but I have no time to go shopping week after week and hope to find the things I want to buy. Combined with the cost and aggro of parking and online discounts it's no contest.

RaininSummer · 26/11/2017 19:45

Apart from the effect on jobs I wouldnt really care if we didn't have shops other than basic food shops.

Babababababybel23 · 26/11/2017 19:48

90% of my Christmas shopping was done on amazon and I am already finished Grin
Just disappointed that topcashback never has any deals for amazon
