4 year old boy - games for friends

Ok - so a bit specific. But... my 4 year old loves Lego and will get one or two sets for Christmas.

But I think he needs some better stuff to play with when he has friends over and Lego isn't great for that. He has plenty of dressing up and a few imaginex things.

Any good ideas for two or more little boys to play with together?

This is a good question! I struggle with this too as I don't want to go down the games console route!

Die cast cars and train sets went down well when my ds was 4.
Cardboard boxes to make cages for dinos too! But you can buy specific toy cages

How's your outdoor toys? Have you got a trampoline, balls to kick (or hit if he's more a tennis sort of guy)

My First Scalestrix - a simple figure of eight kit with two lanes, two cars and two controllers £30

I wouldn't buy something specifically for when friends are over as your ds may not use them.
How about some of the lego games?
Bugs in the kitchen is a good game my dd's really enjoy it and can be played independently with friends. Snakes and ladders, matching pairs, game of life junior, monopoly junior are all good for that age.
Some little Minifigures - mine like busy books (trolls, paw patrol, avengers) or moshi monsters.
Colouring books and stickers.

Or some baking activity is good when friends are over - decorating cakes or cutting out biscuits for pudding :)

My DS is older (7) but it's still very often the hotwheels that come out when his friends are here. We have a few track sets and a basket of cars. It's tat, but it's what they choose.

Scalectrix is a great idea!

We have hot wheels so maybe some new bits and bobs to go.

Ditto the brio train stuff. Maybe a new bridge and a new junction or something.

DS loves silly games like hungry frogs, pop up pirate although usually when he has a friend over they just both play with Lego side by side!!
