Can anyone advise on a running watch for DH?

He wants to up hos speed, so looking for something that will let him know how he is doing as he goes vs a pre-set pace.

Does such a thing exist?

Try Garmin or asuunto watches these are pricey but are exactly designed for outdoor activity such as running.

Go for a Garmin forerunner with a virtual partner feature: www.pocket-lint.com/news/142892-garmin-forerunner-235-black-friday-deal-165-is-an-incredible-bargain

Garmin looks great but even with that reduction is still over budget.

Is there anything that does the same under £100?

Garmin forerunner 25. Easy to use and you can see your average pace whilst runningiving. I think it's the most basic one garmin make but it does the job - tracks your run and gives you time/speed/distance.
Usually under £80
