Have been asked to get one of these, and warned that they are expensive!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to but from? If I am going to spend a lot of money, I would like to get a decent one!

Knitted or woven?
They're often in TK maxx.
I would like one of these www.lochcarron.co.uk/lambswool-blankets-throws/ but it doesn't say whether it's Merino.
Merino can be quite soft and lovely, but I know Lochcarron use decent wool and it all feels lovely.

Thanks, Super.

I have no idea whether knitted or woven! All I was told was a merino wool blanket, or a chunky giant blanket with big threads.

I would prefer woven personally, as I could easily knit one myself.

If someone has asked for a merino blanket specifically, they want something super soft! I, too, would go woven rather than knitted.

Heal's have a nice one, and it's on offer

The Wool Room have some nice bits - they've also got a sale on and it looks as if you get an additional £5 off if you sign up to the newsletter

If it were my choice, I'd go for something from Avoca - their lambswool blankets and throws aren't merino, (although they do have merino scarves) but are incredibly soft and absolutely beautiful. I bought my first one in Dublin many years ago and am amassing a collection of them!

I like Romney Marsh Wools - they only have one merino blanket, but they are all lovely.
