Exploding Kittens / Cards Against Humanity

Hello fellow Christmas bargain hunters.
I’m hosting some different family / friend events this year and would really like to get both these games. Loathe to pay full price on Amazon - have already set up a CCC alert for both.

I know there was a link to a website for cheap ones on the bargain thread but the site looks pretty dodgy. eBay has lots of sets, but again, I’m unsure of the authenticity.

Anyone seen them cheaper? Thanks in advance

The ebay sets are real. We have bought them and they are identical to the set purchased on Amazon.

Do you have a link please newt? Or send me one of you're not allowed to post.
I've been considering buying them for friends

Dumbledoresgirl · 20/11/2017 12:59

I know Cards Against Humanity. Ds has the game.

What is Exploding Kittens please?

I am contemplating Christmas with a bunch of miserable teens/young 20s, and I could really do with some game ideas that they have the tiniest chance of wanting to play.

I've just started a thread to ask for recommendations if that helps you dumbledore'sgirl

I bought imploding kittens (we have exploding kittens already) from this seller along with another box of exploding kittens as a gift for someone else.

Make sure you buy the red version since the black version is adults only.

Thank you

Thanks hmmalittlefishy For me, the problem is getting reluctant youths to join in, but I will follow your thread in case anything brilliant gets mentioned.

I have looked up Exploding Kittens and seen it reviewed as 'like Uno' which is great news for me as I love Uno, but less so for my kids who have outgrown it.

Newts when you say there is an adult version, could you be more specific what that entails? Given I played Cards Against Humanity with my kids (youngest of whom was 13 at the time) I am pretty unblushable.

NewtsSuitcase · 20/11/2017 14:07

I suspect you'll be fine then Dumbledoresgirl I haven't played the adult version though. In fact I haven't played the family version either but the DSs 12 and 10 and their friends love it. DH has played it with them and says its a bit rubbish but the DC do really enjoy it.

We're getting pandemic this year. Its supposed to be very good. We also like ticket to ride and carcassone.

Dumbledoresgirl · 20/11/2017 16:43

My lot have had Ticket to ride and Carcasonne for years now. They are still popular with the younger ones (teens) but I am after something new for those in their 20s. I will look into Pandemic later.

Thanks all (and for the general game chit chat!)
newt I had seen your link and I can get both sets for £15 ish as they’ve a 50% off a second game. Worth a punt I guess.

Must remember to get the right game out at each event. Hahaha Grin

Bears vs babies is fun too

GlossyShine · 20/11/2017 17:41

Make sure you buy the British version not the American one!! Really helps the flow of the game.

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 20/11/2017 18:44

We have Exploding and Imploding Kittens too. We’ve even got the DGPs to join in which was interesting...😀

AlbusPercival · 20/11/2017 18:50

How old are the teens?

NSFW exploding kittens is much tamer than CAH but risqué enough for 15+ to be amused.

War on terror, the board game

Nothing says Christmas like nuking your in-laws so hard they turn terrorist!
