Make your own crackers

Hello,

Sorry if this has already been asked. Can I have recommendations and suggestions for making crackers? It’s for a lot of people, 20 or so, so I don’t want to bankrupt myself!

Thanks!

It would involve a fair bit of work, OP, but this blog always has great ideas for craft things and her Christmas crackers do look incredibly stylish.

£1 scratch cards might be an idea?

ClaireWilliams3 · 19/11/2017 17:25

Oh thanks, the toilet roll ones look achievable!

It takes for ducking ever. Unless you have hours to spare I’d poke fancier presents into shop bought crackers.

You can get a pack of 6 from Oxfam - includes everything except the gift. The crackers/jokes are good and then you can choose your own gift. Best of both I reckon!

I buy cheap crackers in my chosen colour scheme, carefully undo them and put my own stuff inside, Then add jewels/ribbon if they need jazzing up on the outside. Saves fiddling around and only costs a few pounds.

These cracker kits are amazing by the way @ClaireWilliams3 - I bought the bright pink ones last year and filled them with miniature gin/vodka, a joke from a sheet downloaded from Pinterest, a paper hat and then a little trinket bought in a set of about a million from eBay.

The works have packs of 6 sets of fill your own for £3. They're fine - not the most beautiful but very quick and easy to do.

Another vote for pimping shop bought crackers. I usually try and get the big luxury kind in the January sales not helpful now sorry
