Last year's Christmas pudding still good?

I made a few puddings last year but we didn't eat a big one. It's been in a dark cupboard with a double layer of greaseproof paper and a double layer of tin foil over the top (it's an a ceramic bowl). I took the covering off for a peek and it looks and smells fine.

However, it was made with Guinness in it but no whisky or brandy and was never 'fed'. DH can't stand whisky flavour and small kids were going to be eating it too.

Reckon it's ok to eat, oh wise ones?

It'll be fine Xmas Grin
I made 2 the year before last. Last year we didn't eat the 2nd one which had been maturing all year.
I checked it for mould, it was fine, took it to my DParents for NYear.

I use Guiness in the cooking but nothing more after that, and very little sugar.
I was a bit worried because my DParents are 80yo (so I didn't want to poison them).
Steam cooked it, dollop of ice-cream (no flaming brandy for them but I'd do that if I was at home), it was delish Xmas Grin
