Can anyone suggest some good party games that everyone from grandma to DS age 7 can join in please? I remember reading about a mean Santa game but can't find it now? All ideas welcome! Thanks

Strawberry shoe lace race: competitors put one end of a strawberry shoelace between their lips and then put their hands behind their back. Somebody else shouts go and all competitors race to get the shoelace into their mouth without using their hands.
After Eight race: similar to the shoelace race but start with an after eight on your forehead.
Paper bag pick up: Your prop is one paper bag in the centre of the room, opened up full and standing up. Get the competitors to stand around the bag in a circle. The aim of the game is to pick up the bag without using their hands, arms, feet etc and without kneeling down (ie they have to pick up the bag in their mouth by leaning forwards). Each person gets one attempt otherwise they're out of the game. Each time you've gone round the circle, fold the paper bag over one fold (making it smaller) and then repeat the process. The winner is the one who lasts the longest! This game can be adapted for those who are differently abled (put on a table for example).
(This game was also done with a cereal box and 1cm / 1 inch cut off each time you go round the circle).
The good old chocolate game.... sit in circle, take turns to roll a dice, if you roll a 6 you put on hat, scarf and gloves and use knife and fork to eat individual chunks from a choc bar on a plate until next person rolls a 6.

Love the strawberry lace idea! We've never played games before but I think I'm going to start this year :) Grandparents will think we've gone nuts!

It's called 'the present game' in my family, can't wait to do it chez les ILs this year!

Werewolves (a.k.a. Mafia), because nothing says Festive Cheer like the family ganging up to lynch Grandma.

Botticelli was the Christmas tradition from an early age in my family, with my father’s particularly convoluted questions leading to children’s book characters a source of frustration until I learned to work out what he was on about (“Are you an economic migrant with a marmalade fixation?”).

@Tiredmummyof3 sorry just seen your reply there! Will try and explain...

Each player has a sheet of paper, and along the top you all write 5/6 topics (the same, choose together). For example - colour/item of clothing/designer brand/animal etc you can make it age appropriate.

Then going round the group each person picks a letter, so Person1 picks 'L', everyone puts their heads down and writes an answer beginning with L under each heading! The first person to get all their answer shouts 'Stop The Bus' Grin everyone stops writing and goes round and gives their answers - you get 2 points for an answer only you have, and 1 point if someone else had it too. Then just tally your points for that round at the end, then Person 2 picks a letter and away you go again.

Some of the answers you get will be hilarious! It's a Boxing Day staple in our house.

We do rock and roll bingo - a mixture of bingo and beat the intro.
Sheets set out like bingo cards with song titles on. You play a few seconds of each song and they have to work out what it is and if it's on their card, cross it off if and so on until one team gets bingo.
We do it in teams of mixed ages and I chose songs from a mixture of eras so everyone from grandad to the younger children get to join in.
Works with tv theme tunes too. Sounds like a lot of prep but I just make a Spotify playlist and then randomly put the titles onto sheets.

Pass the bomb is good for all ages too.
