Where's the nicest wrapping paper this year?

I found some really nice red, green and gold stripped paper in Tkmaxx last year. Matt, not too shiney. They've gone all boring and cartoony this year.

I think I'm more fussy about paper than anything else at Christmas!

I came on to say avoid Tesco glittery reindeer stuff at all costs. I bought it last year because it looks lovely and the house got covered in glitter. The sellotape wouldn't stick. My car was full of glitter. Then everyone I gave a gift to got a house full of glitter. There were even MN threads about it! I was very surprised to see it back again this year.

The glittery Tesco one is a nightmare! I bought some last year and stupidly used it for the kid’s stuff 🙄. It feels like proper paper as well (like the stuff that you would write on or use in a printer) and it rustles like mad - not great when you’re trying to set all the presents out on Christmas Eve!

And I was vacuuming glitter until Easter!

It’s beautiful paper though - I had the snowflake one last year.

WH Smith have some lovely paper this year but we're card factory devotees as it great value, cheap but not thin

Last year I bought some from Lidl, it was really smart for the money

I have bought mine from Next this year plus some from M&S. Both had a lovely selection.

Wilko have a really nice bronze one

Asda have lovely red and white ones - a really solid red and some with polka dots and stripes

After years of buying nice paper I've decided to go retro this year with lots of different cheap paper from the 80s and it looks fantastic :)
