DD 10 wants a surprise - argh!

Other dd only wants lego so that is easy!
She likes outdoors, elephants & space. Have already ordered women of NASA lego thanks to another thread. Budget about £30, no older friends/ rellies so she (and I!) don't really know what's out there! She might like girly things, says she likes toys but never plays with them (also never does kits!). I am stumped! She basically only plays with lego!

Smiggle
JoJo Siwa
Fingerling
Num nom lip gloss truck
Will try and think of more

I have found just the think; an elephant you build out of lego! Perfect for your DD if she loves both lego and elephants and reasonable price as well. Link below:

Bella8 · 14/11/2017 20:42

Or maybe an elephant bracelet?

Fridayfun · 14/11/2017 20:45

Maplin have a beginner's metal detector on offer at the moment and free delivery. If she is into the outdoors already she might find it interesting and quirky.

MadeinBelfast · 14/11/2017 20:48

Is it just space or science generally? There's a magazine called Whizz, Pop, Bang that's meant to be good. I've bought an annual subscription for Christmas and it says you'll get one normal edition and a Space edition before Christmas so that you can wrap them up as a 'starter pack'. I'm hoping it's good!

BLUESEAPARADISE · 14/11/2017 20:52

How about a star named after her?:)

Littlestchristmastree · 14/11/2017 21:24

Madeinbelfast- whizz pop bang is fab!! We just got our second one, the space mag. It's great!

MadeinBelfast · 14/11/2017 22:37

I'm glad it's good @Littlestchristmastree, I'm looking forward to getting the first one!

Lolo Ball

Outdoor treasure hunt game (Go find it?)
Roller blades
Trip to a planetarium
Adopt an elephant
Tim Peake’s book of pictures from space

Stationery in a similar vein
Swing ball

Avebury · 14/11/2017 23:05

Does she have a phone or access to one? What about a VR headset?

Avebury · 14/11/2017 23:06

Pop up tent?

whimsical1975 · 15/11/2017 15:13

My DD10 also loves the outdoors and all animals... she really loves her existing camera and I'm probably going to buy her the Instamax Mini 9 as it prints your photos as you take them. DD loves taking pics of trees, flowers, birds etc in the garden. Just a thought...

whimsical1975 · 15/11/2017 15:16

Or else what about a telescope? Or a pair of binoculars so she can bird watch etc?

GraciesMansion · 15/11/2017 15:17

We got dd a microscope last year which was a big hit. Also a telescope.

catladyinthemaking · 15/11/2017 17:55

Telescope
Space Projector
Giant stuffed elephant
Tent & Camping stuff

Sittinonthefloor · 16/11/2017 14:01

Thank you! Fingerlings look fun - I'd never heard of them! And Tim peake's book is a good idea too!

Tim Peakes book is fab, I bought it last year for my step dad and I wish I had kept it for myself.

A telescope is a great idea but not sure if you will get a good one for £30, I bought mine from Amazon on a Black Friday deal so might be worth looking there next week?

My dd1 likes birdwatching and taking photos, she wants a camera from her Dad but to get one good enough for capturing birds is quite expensive. You could get a bird box with camera if she likes that sort of thing? If your lucky you might get birds nesting in it for spring?
