Cool Lego pieces

DC seem to get along much better with the big boxes of Lego and then make their own stuff. Rather than the actual sets, I mean.
But they do have a couple of bits they love, like skateboards and aeroplane engines (being used in the pic). Can anyone think of any other similar little bits? I’m happy to get them singley from eBay or whatever. We also got hinges which have been used a lot.
