Toys r us in Whiteleys (Bayswater) had a whole shelf of unicorn fingerlings and loads of the monkeys today at 2pm. I bought three!

Got one from ‘very’ on Wednesday after being alerted by them. Very seem to be getting a handful of stock in daily but it goes in seconds.

My dd really wanted one and had one for her birthday a few weeks ago. It has sat on her shelf since then gathering dust. I’m constantly amazed how the media convince all our children they want these things each year and whip us all into a frenzy to buy these out of stock toys.

@Nix32 I pre-ordered on 1st November, you’re right the option isn’t there anymore.

Perhaps they are waiting to see what stock they get?

Oh and it was to click & collect not home delivery that might’ve made a difference?

There are quite a few reveiws saying these amazon ones are fake. I am wary having been scammed by ones off Amazon that never arrived .

I ordered the white one from Amazon and it's due on Sunday (originally the 22nd) - it says Woweee or whatever. How will I know if it's fake?

I've seen them in my local The Entertainer

Literally just ordered one in Argos and can collect immediately. Will send the amazon one back if it's a fake.

So my Amazon one arrived today and the packaging is identical to the one I collected from Argos yesterday. It wasn't market place it was amazon

Amazon itself will not be selling fakes. Just don't buy from marketplace.

DH ordered one from Amazon the other day, fingers crossed its not a fake!

I ordered one from eBay. It arrived with the package open. I’m certain it’s fake but I’ve given it a go and I can’t tell the difference and so I doubt ds will be able to.

The problem with fakes is if they're made with toxic materials, or if the batteries are unsafe etc. It isn't just about what they look like.

If there's no (genuine) CE marking in it, you absolutely can't guarantee that it's safe. I wouldn't risk it, personally.

How would I know if the CE marking was genuine? I’ve looked on the sellers feedback and although a few people have warned about fakes the majority seemed to be happy. I will inspect it.

I will post a photo of the unopened packaging of the Argos one and amazon if that would help?

Left hand from amazon and right hand from Argos. Argos one now has a crack in foot from being left in a car all night.

Not sure about the paint job on the Amazon one but maybe am paranoid!

If you bought it direct from Amazon it really won't be a fake! If it's from marketplace it might be (high chance it WILL be).
