Gift vouchers that can be used overseas?

My niece (not actually much younger than me) has moved to Canada with her two children. Rather than waste money packaging and sending presents they don't want and can't return, does anyone know where I can buy a sort of international gift voucher? Does such a thing exist?

I am not sure about Canada but we used to send relatives in Europe Amazon vouchers.

You need to look at e vouchers, like Amazon or iTunes

Or you can just order online from a Canadian company if you have some ideas for things to get them.

I thought and Amazon voucher bought in the uk could only be spent in the uk.

God, wher to start researching Canadian gift companies...! Though I suppose the Canadian arm of Amazon might be a good place to start.

I can use the UK and US Amazon sites pretty interchangably with the same log-in details - I just have to remember which one to use when I am ordering.

If it's the same for www.amazon.ca/ then it is really easy (even if obviously Amazon are evil tax dodgers )

don't get iTunes cards online, unless you have an account with Canadian iTunes, or unless you buy physical iTunes cards from ebay or somewhere else and have them posted. Normal UK itunes cards/gift certificates (even online) won't work in the itunes store of another country.

Amazon also has to be country specific to be useful - you can use UK ones from Canada but have to pay all the extra postage. I don't find amazon.ca has as much as the uk site, but still has a lot.

chapters/indigo is good for books etc.

Lots of shopping malls do gift certificates that can be used anywhere in the mall, so if you can buy those online, that would be a good bet.

Prepaid visa or mastercard? Or buy online to be delivered, bath and body works would be my recommendation
