Hi I don’t want to spend a lot as I have to buy two. Any recommendations please?

Swizzells do an Advent Calendar, we got ours at Tesco. So thats non-chocolate!

CountFosco · 28/10/2017 17:14

We've got a Dream Snow one which is lovely and reusable. Santa always puts chocolates in the boxes under the tree on Christmas Eve.

wobblywonderwoman · 28/10/2017 17:16

I am considering the old fashioned ones - the paper ones where you guess the picture. They are 3.50 on Amazon

ChocolatePHD · 28/10/2017 17:18

WH Smith have a selection of card ones, some of them 3D or with bits to cut out etc for around a fiver. I refused to pay for a Lego one this year!

Toomanycats99 · 28/10/2017 17:42

Last year I bought a material pocket one and then I bought littlest pet shops off eBay for each pocket. I’m doing the same this year but with barbie clothes.

imsorryiasked · 28/10/2017 17:42

Some of the playmobil ones are dipping below £15 on Amazon.

allegretto · 28/10/2017 17:43

We always get paper ones - they're lovely!

allegretto · 28/10/2017 17:43

Also my kids don't get one each - part of the fun is waiting for your turn to come round.

Watto1 · 28/10/2017 17:44

I've just ordered one with little rubbers in from the Book People. £6.99.

zoomer456 · 28/10/2017 18:12

Thank you. I should have been clearer I meant one with toys of make up ones. I wish they would share.

I like the playmobil ones but I think £30 for two is a lot 😬😬

Do you need to have an account with the book people?

isthistoonosy · 28/10/2017 18:18

Where do you get paper ones from?

Watto1 · 28/10/2017 18:44

I do have an account with the Book People but I'm not sure if you have to have one or of you can check out as a guest.

yumscrumfatbum · 28/10/2017 18:46

I bought a make up one for DD age 12 from Wilko's for a fiver x

KanielOutis · 28/10/2017 19:33

I bought a make up and a non branded Lego advent calendar from Wilko for £5 and £8. They seem good value.

AnnabelFan · 28/10/2017 19:41

Just an idea...you can get fill your own ones. Can then add whatever you like.

Mumofboys89 · 28/10/2017 19:46

I saw some nice sticker ones in John Lewis, a bit like the paper ones. There was a gruffalo but can't remember the others. The stickers create a lovely scene

BikeRunSki · 28/10/2017 19:48

Playdoh???

BikeRunSki · 28/10/2017 19:51

Minions

Paw Patrol

Queenofthedrivensnow · 28/10/2017 19:58

Lego is 14.39 or something in John Lewis. My kids share it

Threenme · 28/10/2017 20:01

Hi! The entertainer have fake lego ones that are compatible with lego half price at £7.50 each and they're fab! You end up with a Christmas winter scene.

zoomer456 · 28/10/2017 20:02

Thank you all x

OP posts:
zoomer456 · 28/10/2017 20:17

I think the entertainer must have sold out 😞
