peachy94 I think GHD changed their straighteners. I had the original ones which were amazing then replaced them last year and they didn't seem as good. Maybe they are not as hot. My mum was recommended Cloud9 by her hairdresser and they have always been better than my new GHDs (IMHO). THey are around £100 on amazon. Not sure if this is better or worse than GHD.

I'm looking for advice from people who send to Republic of Ireland. My sister lives there with her family and I usually send gifts through Amazon but I don't always get what I'm after and you don't always get the option to have everything wrapped. Is there somewhere else that I could order from that would wrap too and post to Ireland? Or should I buy here and post myself? If the latter, who is best to post with as Royal Mail is a fortune with a big parcel?

TIA you lovely people

Thank you for the insta camera bargain - I’m a bit worried the order will be cancelled, but will leave it up to fate!

TKRedLemonade · 21/10/2017 15:32

Personwithnoname have you looked into the various "delivery address services"? You register and then use a "uk" address the company gives you so qualify for the free postage etc and then the person accepting delivery in Ireland just had I pay a fee to the company. Can be as little as 3.50. Our national postal service even offers it.

I've ordered this free Blue Planet poster for my underwater obsessed DS - it will be a nice stocking filler.

Annwithnoe · 21/10/2017 15:43

Scaredycat thanks for the information about Ali express. That's very useful to know

TheHammaconda · 21/10/2017 15:49

This coffee gift pack looks like a nice little stocking filler for £5.00 in M&S

PamelaPatricia · 21/10/2017 15:53

Thank you to whoever used my Buyagift voucher on the referral thread. Since we both gained £15, I have used my credit to buy a brewery tour, so that’s a friend’s present ticked off the list at no cost to me.

I got the Red subscripton last year and was really disappointed with the goodies (Self tan and anti dandruff hair stuff) so didn't get it this year. But now am kicking myself- I'd have loved the DHC cleansing oil!
I will get the rituals shower foam using the email sign up though (second or so post of this thread) so thank you very much for that! Even paying delivery online thats a bargain as its a full size Rituals shower gel for only £2.99- a real treat!

Personwithnoname · 21/10/2017 16:00

Thanks TK I'll look into that.

AgnesBrownsCat · 21/10/2017 16:00

Northern Ireland have just got their first smiggle shop ! 👏👏

Haudyerwheesht · 21/10/2017 16:06

I'm going to cancel the camera I think. I hadn't realised you have to print every photo you take and dd is only 7 so it'd end up costing a fortune!

mammyaroundmadness · 21/10/2017 16:08

If anyone has a Sonar code for the cheaper Alexa I would really appreciate one its on my teenage sons Xmas list x

DumbledoresArmy · 21/10/2017 16:16

Anyone know where I can get a discount Trunki from?

BicycleMadeForTwo · 21/10/2017 16:17

Ooh thanks Agnes I didn’t know there was a smiggle opening up in town!

snowmanshoes · 21/10/2017 16:31

Maybe keep the camera for when older? My dd and all her friends had them and they love to take pics when they go to each others houses. There is an offer on the film at the min on amazon, 20 shots at £9.99, My dd keeps hers for special occasions and for special memories and puts them in a magnetic frame on her board

AgnesBrownsCat · 21/10/2017 16:40

I seem to remember someone mentioning these

@onedayatatime73 I picked up some gorgeous candles in TKMaxx this week. Absolutely loads to choose from, some in really expensive-looking packaging but all less than a tenner.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/10/2017 16:50

Dp was not keen when I saw this on hotdeals at 2.00pm because of the ongoing cost. RJ snap purple is my dd's fave colour - I told him this meant it was meant to be for her to have it but that didn't wash Angry ....however just read on here and told him it had the mumsnet thumbs up so he has changed his mind Grin Wanted to get DD one since last year but didn't see a good price - I was convinced it would now be sold out so hoorah!

ReindeerPoop · 21/10/2017 16:51

Apparently LOLs are back in stock at Argos

yumyumpoppycat · 21/10/2017 16:52

Doh I didn't actually mention what it was I bought in my excitement - the purple camera ...I would do father Christmas grin but can't work out how, so naked Grin

ReindeerPoop · 21/10/2017 16:56

PP who was looking for Bus things- there's a gorgeous London bus handbag (in the shape of a bus) in the younger girls section of Primark

RicStar · 21/10/2017 17:08

I stopped by Sainsbury's thinking everything would be sold out but they had loads of everything. I got a paw patrol figures advent calendar and hot wheels big hauler plus some blind bags. Plenty of singing rupunzels and the like. I was tempted by one but DD would prefer Moana. Toys r us also had lots of monkey fingerlings but no sloths / unicorns. Toys r us also had some nice winter ever after high dolls for £5 and the new series ones for £8. I am most pleased by my chupa chups sweet sushi - (from asda) which I am tempted to keep for myself.
