Tell me about Ikea Play kitchen?

My little boy loves role play. Everytime he sees one in playgroup ect, he loves it. So am thinking of getting him one this christmas.

Has anyone got one? What is quality like? Does it come flatpack?

It's also good for storage because the cupboards are a decent size Blush ours has been in the garage this year because it was just being used as a cupboard. I've just brought it back out and dc are loving it. My 4yo can only just reach the microwave on top so I think it has longevity.

Just in case anyone is remotely interested, I've just finished my Ikea duktig hack today and really pleased with how it's turned out (although I won't lie, there were times I wish I hadn't started and I wanted to smash the damn thing up, I don't think I'm a naturally crafty person!!)

Fabulous, Casa!

That kitchen is amazing casa. I have full on envy.

I was persuaded against one by fussy mil who was fretting about dgc "bumping against hard wood" so we got a plastic one. Which is now in the play house outside and the ikea one lovingly played with daily after I realised it was a million times better.

We got ours for DS's 2nd birthday and it's still going strong 3 years and another DC later. It's so good for the money.

Are all those cute little metal play pots actually usable on a real stove?

Asking for...you know... a friend.

casa that’s nicer than my actual kitchen!

Just to back up everyone else, it is definitely a great buy. We’ve had it since they were 3 and 1 and it still gets played with constantly by my youngest who is now 4, and the 6 year old still joins in a lot. They’ve even had older cousins over of 9/10 who have had fun playing cafe for ages with it.
