I am at a complete loss as to what to get my daughter as a main present. I have come into a small amount of money which means that this year I could afford to get something a bit more special.
DD2 is easy and I'll be getting her a baby Annabelle so I would like something of similar value for DD1.

She has a bike and scooter, she likes science and maths, climbing and anything creative. Ideally I would be looking for one item that she would be able to use alone and use repeatedly (so not things like science kits which need constant supervision and can only be used a few times).
She's quite academic and loves to learn so I'm very open to educational toys. When I've asked her she just says I don't know or I don't mind. Please help!

My 6 year old has asked for a desk for her room this year. When I asked why she wanted a desk she wanted somewhere that was hers to do her ‘stuff’ on.

Could something like that work? Would give her her own space to be creative etc.

We are getting DD6 a camera. Going to go for a cheap normal digital rath

Wavingkitten · 02/10/2017 21:18

Sorry! Rather than something aimed at children

Invisimamma · 02/10/2017 21:19

Tablet or games console? Nintendo ds?

Justdontknow4321 · 03/10/2017 09:26

Lol big doll?

My 6 year old absolutely loves them and that's number one on her list as well as some normal lol dolls

Heeleys
Barbies
Monster high
Some nice bath bombs?

Thanks some great ideas here, I'll have a look into them all.
She's really not a girly girl at all, she would be completely disgusted with me if I handed over a barbie or doll. My sister has got her some weird clip on wheel things (they sound like a broken leg waiting to happen to me but I'm sure she'll love them) and she's getting a skateboard for her birthday on Saturday or else heeleys could have been an option.
The coding mouse looks great as does the den building kit, she already has an old digital camera which she loves, we've had some very ummmm interesting photos Grin

CD player for books that come with CDs. My DS age 6 has one so he can read and listen to stories about Elmer and theTiger that Came to Tea, etc - has helped endlessly with his reading. And he has a couple of hideous nursery rhyme CDs off my dad Blush sorry dad! DS enjoys them and it saves us having to listen to them in the car Grin

My dad has also bought DS old fashioned wooden toys - which DS just loves - such as a hand-held egg cup thing with a ball on a string that you have to keep flipping to get the ball in the cup (i know what i mean!) and one of those hippy games of two sticks you hold with string between them and a cone-thing that you run up and down the string. They frustrate him, but he will still pick them up and try them quite frequently - perhaps because they frustrate him!

He doesn't have anything electronic and console-y and won't until he is around 8-9yo.

My 5 year old daughter has already decided on what she wants for Christmas! She wants Elsa doll. However, I was thinking of getting Shopkins Kinstructions playset from Toys r us.
