Not sure if this is best here or travel - considering a snowy Santa trip in December- with 4 kids, stay 3-4 nights, definitely do dog sledding ...and suggestions?

They do get booked up but you may be lucky.
We are going to Luosto in December with Canterbury travel.

We went to Luosto last year for 4 nights with Canterbury Travel and it was amazing. But I think you may be a bit late to book for that for this year.

Any top tips please? What were the thermal suits like?
We are staying in a cabin, but full board, thought I would take some snacks though.

We found all the gear they supplied v good. If you do buy gloves, thermals etc dont buy expensive ones. Primark, aldi etc do cheap ski wear and just as good at a fraction of the cost. The snowsuits were v warm over base layers of thermals, tracksuit bottoms etc. Take those reuseable glove warmers if you can as if it is v cold they really help.
Oh i am jealous. We had a fabulous time. So enjoy !

The thermal suits were very good and we weren't cold. Remember thick gloves that are waterproof and thick socks.

We were in a cabin but full board. The directions to get from the cabin to the restaurant weren't very good and we got lost so make sure you're clear on this.
