I need to do a hamper for older people living in supported accommodation. Budget not too high. They each own their own apartment within the complex none are short of money and I would like to do something a little different if possible. Any ideas?

Are you purely doing food? If not I would add some hand cream or similar. Perhaps a Christmassy plant?

I would think some nice single serve type treats would go down well, m and s do slices of christmas cake? Good quality tea bags, jam, chocolates, single serve hot choc? Brandy snaps or meringues? Brandy butter or custard. Tinned fruit.

I'd look at the m and s hampers and try to recreate them more cheaply. A lid and lidl have lovely Christmas things.

Handkerchiefs, a compact mirror, comb, brush, glasses case?
