Ordering from 5th (I think) Oct but book out in Nov.

Search for Booths Country on Facebook as the dates are on there. 😁

No worries! I bloody love Booths! 😂🎅

RussellHobb · 16/09/2017 21:45

I'm so excited for the book, it's the start of my Christmas officially. I get one and sit down with it, drinking tea and eating stollen. 🎅🏻

Someone always leaves loads of copies in the break room at work and we all faint at the prices!

NC4now · 18/09/2017 09:31

I ❤️ Booths

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/09/2017 12:35

My SIL brings me one. I live too far away to pop in and so far can't justify a big enough spend to have stuff delivered.

Tea and stollen and the Booths book sounds like a plan Russell BrewCake Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 18/09/2017 13:51

It's 'only' £50.00 to get it delivered, I think, Woolly (easy to get to £50.00 too!).

singadream · 19/09/2017 11:23

What is booths? (Could google but would prefer a mn explanation)

drspouse · 19/09/2017 11:27

It's like Waitrose but Northern and specialises in food "from the Region".
HQ in Preston I think so quite NW based but they let them over the border into Yorkshire as long as they attach themselves to a bungee cord so they can get back to safety.

(I live in the NW. Cough).

singadream · 19/09/2017 11:29

Thank you!

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2017 17:23

Waitrose isn't as naice as Booths, IMO!

chicaguapa · 19/09/2017 17:28

Love a Booths Christmas. We usually get it delivered, but we are in the NW for Christmas this year so will go to Booths to pick up a half price hamper afterwards and bring some bits home for NYE that are usually pick up only. We always buy a big gammon/ ham and slice it into steaks for throughout the year.

HemanOrSheRa · 19/09/2017 17:32

Oooh. I LOVE Booths. I ordered loads of food last year, for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. I'm so excited!

Zampa · 19/09/2017 17:32

I was really disappointed with the Booths Christmas things I ordered in 2016. Much preferred M&S the previous year ...

What am I doing wrong?!

TimeForTea73 · 19/09/2017 17:40

There's something wrong about the word 'cheesemonger.' Fishmonger yes. Cheesemonger? Ew no.

NoWordForFluffy · 19/09/2017 17:46

@chicaguapa What are these half price hampers you talk of?

chicaguapa · 19/09/2017 17:53

I went into one of the stores after Christmas one year (or maybe it was after NYE) and they had lots of hampers massively reduced. I didn't buy one but vowed to next time.

Namethecat · 19/09/2017 17:55

Just back from shopping in my local Booths ( Keswick ) and they are not in yet.

HemanOrSheRa · 19/09/2017 18:44

What did you order Zampa? We had a HUGE unsmoked gammon, a goosenargh chicken, pork pie, cheese selection and some other bits - it was all fab.

Fancythat69 · 19/09/2017 18:50

I ❤️ booths, went into the 1 opposite RPH in Preston to get my nana some fancy pies and sandwiches to cheer her up while she was in hospital, was a very nice shopping experience far better than any Waitrose imo

Zampa · 19/09/2017 19:36

TBH I can't really remember @HemanorSheRa I can just remember being disappointed ... I think it was stuff they only do at Christmas so maybe not a speciality of theirs.

I'll still have a look at the cheeses this year though. You can't go wrong with Booths' cheese!
