Um. Wow.

No I can't! Confused

smellybeanpole · 05/09/2017 18:27

It joined the summer loss program.

LaurieFairyCake · 05/09/2017 18:27

Is that a photo shopped piss take Shock

Toblernone · 05/09/2017 18:27

Haven't the foggiest! I could understand a bit missing at the bottom, to put in an awkward corner by a sofa say, but there's barely anything to it, there's barely any top!!

DonkeyOaty · 05/09/2017 18:27

Erm. That's . Nope. Nope.

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 05/09/2017 18:29

It's a bit like a standard lamp, isn't it? Maybe it's for very small rooms so you don't have to have a free corner; it can stand unobtrusively behind an armchair Grin

Toblernone · 05/09/2017 18:29

Is it so pricey you have to buy a bit every year in instalments and that's the first one? (grasps at straws)

Oogle · 05/09/2017 18:30

I knew it would be a John Lewis tree before I saw the photo Grin

Can't explain it though!

ClashCityRocker · 05/09/2017 18:30

Well I suppose if you have a toddler it might stop them destroying it.... I bet a determined cat could give it a bash though!

flumpybear · 05/09/2017 18:31

It's for absolutely enormous presents - i think in need one HmmGrin

LaurieFairyCake · 05/09/2017 18:32

Ah it's for OUTSIDE and for decorating paths and it's 9feet tall

Can you explain this tree to me please?
PanannyPanoo · 05/09/2017 18:41

for an enormous pile of presents?

elephantoverthehill · 05/09/2017 18:46

An anti-cat climbing tree?

Eleventybillionfucks · 05/09/2017 18:48

I saw this the other day all i can think of is it is a pet proof tree or if you were short on space it could hover in the corner behind an armchair like a lamp Grin

ShowOfHands · 05/09/2017 18:51

It's because the world is going to hell in a handcart.

It's for OUTSIDE? What, like, you know, actual trees?

Justmuddlingalong · 05/09/2017 18:51

I think it's aimed at those facebook parents who buy eleventy squillion presents for their offspring. More room for presents underneath.

Battyoldbat · 05/09/2017 18:52

Bahahahaaa, that's hilarious! Wtf were they thinking? I can't imagine a single use that would need a tree that shape.

Eleventybillionfucks · 05/09/2017 18:52

Why have an actual tree when you can have a plastic one Hmm

Tentomidnight · 05/09/2017 18:53

I did think it would be pretty pet proof Grin
But if it was next to a path, why would it need to be 9ft high? And wouldn't it blow over? And wouldn't you need to buy a whole avenue of them? At £150 a pop, that could get expensive.
Can I just check that it's not April 1st??

FadedRed · 05/09/2017 18:54

£150 Shock
I'll take four then...........

Tentomidnight · 05/09/2017 18:57

Imagine what the reviews will be like on the JL website!
"I opened the box to find the bottom 75% of the branches missing. I expect better from John Lewis"

Just a thought.. maybe it's a triffid tree character from their 2017 Christmas advert 🌲

OP posts:
ilovechocolates · 05/09/2017 19:14

Thought at first it was a cat-proof tree

elephantoverthehill · 05/09/2017 19:31

On second thoughts I think they are trees to put around your not so model sized railway.

tootsieglitterballs · 07/09/2017 08:23

Eh?! Most random tree I've ever seen!

Threenme · 07/09/2017 21:59

My eyes!!!Shock
