Smiggle Advent Calendars

Are they worth it? I recall them being mentioned on the board in previous years but can't remember what was said about them.
We have a new store that both ds's have taken an interest in so they would probably enjoy the advent calendar if they're worth the money and the contents are gender neutral.
I was considering a smiggle pencil case for their stockings so that would link in nicely.

Last year's advent calendar was really disappointing and filled with cheap plastic that had never been sold in stores. There was a lot of non stationery items (like party bag tat) and some of the items were broken on opening the doors.

Having said this, Smiggle were very good at replacing the broken items with alternatives from their store. However, I would not risk buying another one this year as my DCs were so disappointed with the broken items on the day and it certainly wasn't worth the money I paid for it.

Ah not so good then. Don't think I want to pay out for broken tat that ds's would want me to go to town to exchange, I'm too busy for that!

I got this for myself last year and loved it. I use various items from it all the time still :)
