I'd like to get a gift for sil and niece. I normally get sil pjs and niece a toy that her mum chooses. She's had a rough year in general and this year I'd like to get them a joint present as something extra. Ideally something they can do together at home as sil health and mobility isn't good and doesn't drive. Niece is 4 and starting school in September so thought something so they could enjoy quality time together.

Do you remember those boards which you could arrange sequins onto and it made a picture? A friend had one when we were younger and her mum helped her finish it. I'll look up what they're called. Sorry if that's a really lame suggestion!

What about a baking afternoon. A childs cook book, get the ingredients for say biscuits or a pizza. Maybe matching chefs hats or aprons (eBay and Amazon) you can get some cheap biscuit cutters. Some sprinklesbetc. Most kids love baking/cooking at that age

Board games hamper- maybe some vintage style old classics and add in some vintage style sweets as well?

Movie hamper - Christmas film, pjs, microwave popcorn, fluffy slippers, poundshop popcorn container, movie mix sweets from Aldi.

This is a bit random but I have an image in my head from a fancy Nancy book of Nancy and her doll lying in a motel bathroom with face masks on(I think it's Bonjour Butterfly ), so maybe a pampering hamper with a face mask suitable for your dn, or you could take the butterfly theme further with a butterfly kit
